Sneha Krishnan – Co-Founder and Editor
Sneha is a final year student of History at Stella Maris College, Chennai. She is an alumna of the StartingBloc Global Institute for Social Innovation (London 2008). Sa, is something Sneha began to think of during the summer of 2008. Since having returned from StartingBloc, Sneha has been working on trying to get Sa up, first as a webzine and now as a blog. Sneha is passionate about women’s history in India and would like to study the female identity, as well as women’s place in globalization. One of those things that causes Sneha to get hyper is any talk of the historical process that has led to globalization.
Shweta Krishnan – Co-Founder and Editor (Fiction)
Shweta is a graduate from Madras Medical College and an aspiring scientific historian and writer. She hopes to write on topics including evolution of culture and its impact on modern science, the history of medicine, mathematics and astronomy in India and also hopes to bring to the layman the science behind health and disease. She is passionate about education and is a volunteer with the Teach India Program, an initiative by the Times of India Group. She also hopes to make it in the world of fiction writing. She loves languages and is currently a student of German at Max Mueller Bhavan, Chennai. She is also a participant in the online creative nonfiction writing workshop at Berkeley University.
Vasugi Kailasam – Writer, Women and Literature
Vasugi Kailasam is a Master’s student in Comparative Literature (Asia/Africa) at SOAS. She is passionate about the field of postcolonial literary studies and was an exchange student under the IDP Peace Scholarship Program to Australia during her undergraduate studies in Stella Maris College. She is particularly interested in the field of subaltern studies, neocolonialism and the relation between decolonization and women. Congrats Shwetha and Sneha, Hats off to your efforts. You have chosen a nice title. I think the problem with some of the Indian women is that they dont speak out, probably some of them are denied the right to speak.A lot of problems could get solved if all the women start excising their right to speak. Wish you all the best in all your endeavors.
