Sa literally means “She” in Sanskrit and our url Sa Vadati means “she speaks”. Sa is a blog where young women and men from India and the world talk about feminism and the political, economic and socio-cultural experiences of women in India and other cultures around the world.
While we would like to keep the global perspective on women’s issues, Sa is primarily a blog on the Indian woman, who is fast redefining herself as the landscape around her changes rapidly and the world enters a new and exciting age.

Hi Shweta,Sneha,
i could not been a happier person today being teacher’s day.
I have no words to enthuse you children on this wonderful endeavor of feminism.we talk of gender equity everywhere but where is it.i can see only the down trodden Indian woman and a highly male dominated Indian society.I am sure this effort of both of you will contribute much to the cause of enlightening the women about their position as “shakti” and “dhanavantri”.
the indian epics are world famous because of the indefatigable role of the woman in it.
congrats, sure will contribute on a regular basis.
though very much a family woman i uphold that the woman should be emancipated enough to at least decide what she wants.
